One new thing Charlie and Emily experienced was sailing on the Hobie Cat. We caught some nice breeze!

Montauk - Day 4
Today is our last night in Montauk and luckily we're glad we enjoyed the beach weather before it rained today. We did almost the same things we did on Tuesday-- Ate at John's pancakes, went to ditch plains, and dined at South Edison again. Charlie wanted to play mini golf in the rain so she did.

Montauk - day 2 & 3
It's been a busy yet wonderful 2 days in Montauk. Yesterday, we tried out the famous jelly croissants at Montauk Bake Shoppe. It tasted very much like a jelly donut but Charlie liked it for breakfast, even if she only had 3 bites. Then pancakes and bacon at John's Pancake House.
Ditch plains beach was pretty nice. Charlie built big sand castles while Emily enjoyed her nap.
Dinner was fantastic at our favorite spot, South Edison. Charlie tried the cavatelli with eggplant and heirloom pasta sauce with daddy. Yum yum! Mom had the striped sea bass which was equally great. Then we finished the night with an ice pop from sweetauk and ice cream at John's Drive in.
Day 3:
Today, we tried a new spot recommended by grubstreet.com - la brisa. Awesome tacos for breakfast.
The beach of choice today was Hither Hills. Charlie tried kite flying, paddle ball, and wave jumping, and finally mini golf at Puff n Putt! It was an exciting day full of new sports and hobbies.
For dinner we finally tried the Surf Lodge. Considering the place is overrated for being hip (which entails mediocre food), the food was surprisingly good. Charlie loves her fish and chips. Thumbs up!

Montauk- Day 1
Today was our first day in Montauk. Charlie and Emily had a very relaxing nap on the drive there.
We stopped by 7 Ponds Orchard in Water Mill to get those crispy gala apples. But they weren't ripe and ready. So we bought peaches instead.
Afterwards, we enjoyed our meals at a couple of noteworthy places: Had lunch at The Lobster Roll in Amagansett; an outdoor pizza dinner at the Village Pizza; and ended the night with ice cream at John's Drive-in in Montauk. Charlie, our little foodie to be, says "thumbs up" to all 3 places.
I'm glad she approves.

Playland Sunday
It was a beautiful breezy day at Playland today. Charlie went on the big Ferris wheel and super fast dragon coaster with daddy. Then we went to the Tiki bar for the first time. Being by the beach, the scenery was nice but the food was just OK.

Emily celebrates her 100th day
Today was our Emily's 100th day party. We had a small buffet-style party at home with family. Everyone commented on how pretty she looked in her white bonnet but we discovered today that she's not a hat person. We were lucky to get a few decent photos of her in it.

Charlie plays tennis at the rec
Charlie graduates from the big beginners tennis ball to the real "adult" ball. She's quite the hitter!

First day of Dad's 3 wk vacay before new job
Charlie and Emily hanging out on the couch (after camp of course).
Charlie takes a shot at golf. She's got the form. Now all she needs is some pants.
