Montauk - day 2 & 3

It's been a busy yet wonderful 2 days in Montauk. Yesterday, we tried out the famous jelly croissants at Montauk Bake Shoppe. It tasted very much like a jelly donut but Charlie liked it for breakfast, even if she only had 3 bites. Then pancakes and bacon at John's Pancake House.

Ditch plains beach was pretty nice. Charlie built big sand castles while Emily enjoyed her nap.

Dinner was fantastic at our favorite spot, South Edison. Charlie tried the cavatelli with eggplant and heirloom pasta sauce with daddy. Yum yum! Mom had the striped sea bass which was equally great. Then we finished the night with an ice pop from sweetauk and ice cream at John's Drive in.

Day 3:
Today, we tried a new spot recommended by grubstreet.com - la brisa. Awesome tacos for breakfast.

The beach of choice today was Hither Hills. Charlie tried kite flying, paddle ball, and wave jumping, and finally mini golf at Puff n Putt! It was an exciting day full of new sports and hobbies.

For dinner we finally tried the Surf Lodge. Considering the place is overrated for being hip (which entails mediocre food), the food was surprisingly good. Charlie loves her fish and chips. Thumbs up!
